Pot, Kettle, and Black Christopher Lamb wrote that Raymond Arroyo's show on EWTN "consistently runs negative lines against Francis" ( 29, October, 2022). He should know what he is talking about. He writes for The Tablet, a magazine that consistently ran negative lines against Popes John Paul and Benedict. Arroyo is simply following his great mentor, Mother Angelica. She joyfully praised the Church when it was promoting orthodoxy. She was openly critical when it did not, as Cardinal Roger Mahoney of Los Angeles found out. Lamb went on to note that it was EWTN outlets and other "conservative Catholic media" that led the criticism of the appointment of the economist Mariana Mazzucato to the Pontifical Academy for Life. Mazzucato happens to be a pro-abortion atheist. Archbishop Paglia of the Academy explained that he wanted to bring together all people "having at heart the value of human life" ! You really cannot make this up. To be fair, Archbishop Paglia is an expert on murals, not morals.
